I like physical media because it is generally still in the last place I left it months or even years after last partaking of it. I've never yet had an Amazon representative burst into my home to collect the DVDs and Blu-Rays they no longer want me to have in my library for whatever reason.

One really cool thing about physical media that's not as prevalent anymore is the menus like when you put Fight Club in it opens with the never been kissed menu as a fake out and I always thought that was really cool.

Physical media reigns supreme. Having my own collection to watch when I want, how I want and whatever it is Inoswn for my choosing. I get all versions of the film, wonderful behind the scenes features, booklets & unique artwork & posters from some releases. It all feels intimate, artistic and something magical to myself. Streaming and paying for services is such a crapshoot...often you have filter through so much junk, stuff gets taken down all the time (even digital purchases have been ripped from people before). You actually own these movies and stores, especially boutique label stores, help with preservation, reclaim lost or deeply hidden media...stuff that will NEVER be on Streaming or for rent and if so, not for very long. Are there benefits and upsides to digital? Yeah, but like the format itself, I see it as a temporary thing, something NOT to replace physical but to compliment it. IE, not sure you'd enjoy a movie and don't want to pay $19-40, then renting it for a couple bucks is great to find out. I loathe Streaming because in order for them to be relevant and profitable, often, many things will remain exclusively on that app snd NEVER get a physical release...some thankfully do...but many rot on there and I'd they get taken off? Good luck. So sorry not sorry, but I think the push the last decade for digital being the future is absolutely getting companies to set up a terrible future where we don't own any of the copies movies released

Hello George!! It’s Mac!!! So glad and happy you are back!! It has been a while since I have seen your videos as I have been super busy lately beginning my filmmaking ventures! 🎬 By the way, I absolutely enjoyed your video on why Physical Media is the best!! Owning a DVD, Blu Ray, or 4K of your movie grants you the best quality anyone could ever ask for! It even feels very personal as you have stated since you are able to connect with the movie itself! 🎥 I also have struggles with space storage for Physical Media but we forget that we can buy in and trade Movies and TV Shows we regularly don’t watch anymore. With this day and age with the streaming market, Physical Media is still super important for us movie lovers and makers in the cinematic world!

I think it would be very easy to Disney to look around, which plots were popular among the fanbase in SW games, comics, etc. and follow the core ida behind them. I don't hate the Acolyte because it follows a SWTOR ide of what happens to thos, who are left behind by the jedies. Andor was nice because it has shown that the rebels are not pure goods but in some sence terrorists. This was the core idea of the SWTOR imperial agent questline, which was briliant. I think the problem ist that there is a small but loud group of Star Wars fans, who are bitching about everything.

The unfortunate problem with saying Joi ‘evolved’ past her programing, is that K very clearly wanted a real relationship with her, wanted her to feel real, wanted her to make real choices. So then, following her programming, she did exactly that. She did what K wanted. So I see little reason to think she wasn’t still completely following her programming.

I just saw her again for the third time - a timely way of not looking at the horrible Acolyte. This series in the Star Wars universe is exactly what fans of the first hour can hope to see. For what ? Because, children, we loved Star Wars, who was movies made for children, but we have become an adult, and what we want now is not to see movies or show for children (good for hour childs), but more adult stories in the Star Wars universe. That is to say, more mature stories that are anchored in the world of our childhood. And that's exactly what Andor does. Andor is at a time when the few rare Jedi still alive are hidden, chased by some rare inquisitors. We therefore look at the life of secondary characters, which endure everyone in their own way, to adapt to a world changing under the thumb of a totalitarian, oppressive and tyrannical galatical Empire against which all resistance seems vain . Lucas was largely inspired by the Nazis to give the Empire the image of a totalitarian tyranny, and therefore, Andor adopts a similar approach, giving the characters a very real dimension, with a construction of subtle, nuanced and nuanced characters ultimately very human, also showing the various facets of the Empire and those who hush to resist it. We feel from the start to the end of the oppressive carcer of life under imperial domination better than in any other opus in the saga, and this was what Europeans should feel during the Second World War under Nazi occupation. The acts of each other are not characterized by good or evil, but by necessity. The servants of the Empire can commit excruciating and truly evil acts (Bix torture or the treatment of prisoners, for example), where simply doing what they consider to be just according to their moral criteria, and the acts of the rebels can sometimes get bad, but they are motivated by the need. It is the brightest script that has been written in the world of Star Wars, with extremely well written characters and superbly staged and interested. The cast is just perfect. The staging is at the service of history and does not try to make the eye, unlike so many others. The same goes for sets, costumes, accessories, photography and editing: everything is at the service of history. In an old interview, a journalist asks the French actor Jean Gabin "What do you think is a good film? And this one responds very simply: "Three things: a good story, a good story and a good story". All is said. Andor is an excellent story.

8:50 - one could argue that the Empire 1) had become to stretched thin & thus, proper training of unproven soldiers (new ‘recruits’) is non-existent. If they live & achieve major victory, then that soldier gets promoted (a literal, learn on the job); 2) the empire was built upon deception, greed, powerlust, and ‘loyalty’ is based purely upon Fear &/or personal lust for power/ vengeance. Such a system will clearly see infantry as no more than bodies, especially once the empire power is felt to be complete..

Andor has actually turned out to be my absolute favorite Star Wars content except for Empire Strikes Back. I've liked a lot of different stuff, like Rebels and I didn't hate Obi Wan like a lot of people did, but Andor was awesome. It did a GREAT job of showing a realistic Star Wars universe. As you state, the "world-building" was amazing. Just to contrast it with another recent big production, say, Rings of Power - where the world-building (except for the Numenor set and Moria) was atrocious. It goes to show the difference in showrunners - one who knows how to put on a production (like Gilroy) as opposed to those idiots working at Amazon studios. The plot also felt well put together and the characters reacted sensibly to all situations. Unlike Episodes 8 and 9 where either large stupid detours happened, or world breaking (suicide star ships) actions or in instance after instance, they'd find exactly what they needed, even if it was under a random location in a huge desert - to move the plot along to a wildly random location in a galaxy of 100,000 planets or whatever. Ahem. Andor reminded all those "creators" at Lucasfilm that they can make new planets, introduce new characters, races, whatever - and the fans will love it if you just TELL A GOOD STORY.
